thursday night on nbc
it’s been good for a long time, right? earl, office, scrubs, 30 rock. two hours of quality hypnosis. the office (including the original british eps) has been a favorite of mine for a while now. yet last night seemed…well…off. it was more awkward than anything, which can be funny as long as it’s balanced with other humorous elements.
and i’ll give the office a break. and maybe it seemed so meh was because they followed an awesome 30 rock. i rarely watched 30 before because it was on later, but now that it’s earlier, OH MAN!
i measure the enjoyment of a show by the way it sustains my enjoyment of it. thus i prefer lots of subtle jokes throughout the show (home movies ftw) rather than a couple ZOMGLOLTHATWUZH1LARI0USROFLMAO moments. and 30 rock’s writing was incredible.
granted, i don’t watch a lot of tv (no cable, no dvr) so i probably don’t know what i’m talking about. but i don’t care.
