The Economics Party »
The platform might look Libertarian, but it has differences. For example, a Libertarian might be opposed to the government making people wear motorcycle helmets. The Economics Party would just look at the likely higher cost of insurance in a helmet-free world and decide on that basis. I don’t know which way it would come out.
This is genius, I used to think that Libertarian was the closest political party to my thoughtsuntil I read this. (I really don’t like thinking of my self as being part of any political party, and think that sort of pidgin holing is how the Bush administration took control of this country)
while the party’s premise makes sense - a political group operating under a business mindset - i don’t like that it puts money at the center of meaning (which i realize is how most existing parties behave anyway, but my argument is for the ought not this is).
