As gas prices increased, so did people’s interest in hybrid cars on the internet. This seems to indicate that most people that were interested in hybrid cars this year were only interested becaue of high gas prices - not environmental concerns.
I also find it interesting that interest in hybrid cars waned even before gas prices hit their peak. Perhaps due to so little availability?
